We must survive. United. One nation under God.

I was much taken with Bill Whittles post election monologue “A New Beginning,” the first 28 minutes anyway. He makes several points; one is that he’s “not talking about revolution, but the direct opposite of that.” Another is that we must not overtly challenge the government, but run parallel structures to it. And, he urges that we make sure not to do anything that will give government the excuse to throw us in jail.

It was a brilliant adlibbed presentation, made while the last Wisconsin ballots were still in transit from Illinois. It provided for me a sense of calm when I had been, frankly, coming apart at the seams. Still, I end up asking myself, to what end? In describing, rather brilliantly, the mindset of the people who now run things, it’s clear that there is no changing those minds. These are morally corrupt, “live for the moment” people who have never known deprivation, and who have ceded control of their lives to government institutions. We are now then a nation of 25 states, but with a cancer gnawing our borders.

There are other sage commentaries about what happened, or rather, describing it beforehand. We are familiar with them, and are among the primary source documents of this nation’s founding, e.g., these from Thomas Jefferson;

“A little rebellion now and then is a good thing.”

“God forbid we should ever be twenty years without such a rebellion. The people cannot be all, and always, well informed. The part which is wrong will be discontented, in proportion to the importance of the facts they misconceive. If they remain quiet under such misconceptions, it is lethargy, the forerunner of death to the public liberty. … And what country can preserve its liberties, if it’s rulers are not warned from time to time, that this people preserve the spirit of resistance? Let them take arms. The remedy is to set them right as to the facts, pardon and pacify them. What signify a few lives lost in a century or two? The tree of liberty must be refreshed from time to time, with the blood of patriots and tyrants. It is its natural manure”
We have a choice then. Docile compliance with dictates from a government entirely at odds with the constitution it had sworn to uphold; or refusal. It seems to me that the latter course first requires, as it did with the founders, a realization and acceptance that living under the heels of this current and lawless regime is intolerable. And like them, be willing to risk all, pledging life and property to its cause.
First step—we who are caught living behind enemy lines, so to speak, must relocate to the United States. It will not be easy leaving, in some cases, family behind, but it’s imperative. Only by swelling the remaining free states with like minded people (and votes) can we establish state governments willing to formally expel Blue states, cutting all ties and obligations with, and to Obamerica. And it must be done NOW.

I’m a cup half full guy, so while some may look at the map of the new united states and say, “we’re surrounded by Obamunists,” I say, “We have cut their lines of communication!”

MY HEROES

I have quite a collection of heroes, for the most part rugged individuals who faced insurmountable odds and were victorious, especially the great leaders of the first American revolution; John Adams, Thomas Jefferson, John Madison, Washington, Hancock, Hamilton and Thomas Payne to name a few.

These heroes all placed their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor on the line to bring freedom to the world. Two heroes in the last century made the same commitment; Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Mahatma Gandhi. Both changed the world and never made a fist or spoke in anger.

Mahatma Gandhi I one of the greatest world leaders in the Twentieth Century. He challenged the Great British empire and changed the world without ever raising his hand in anger. His life and teachings are an inspiration today.

October 2 saw the birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, better known as Mahatma Gandhi. The Indian luminary, famous for leading the Indian nation to independence in peaceful means, is deemed an inspirational figure to this day, over 60 years after his death in 1948.
As a tribute to Gandhi, here’s a collection of some of his thought-provoking quotes.

Freedom isn’t Free

In the last several month there have been a whole crop of full length movies and books directed at exposing the current administration and Obama in particular. Dreams of my Real Father, 2016, Behold a Pale Rider, The Imposter, No Easy Day, and scores more.

Most of the films haven’t had the distribution that one would expect for most of the sub-grade slasher trash that is filling the theaters. Fortunately,  most all are available at the Mall or on line. Many are available for free on YouTube.

But there is another film, a documentary, that is not getting the exposure that it deserves. This movie is a captivating look at the subtleties of modern day slavery in America. The focus is on the black community who became emancipated from the physical bonds of slavery only to find themselves willingly enslaved 100 years later by a new Master.

Today the black community is disempowered economically, educationally, and socially by a lie that has been masterfully crafted into the Afro-American culture. Many black leaders choose to perpetuate this lie while living the good life on the backs of their brethren, but a few black leaders have awoken to the reality of bondage and like Harriet Tubman are acting as conductors, leading blacks running from a life of Government dependency towards a life of freedom.

Harriet Tubman said, “I freed a thousand slaves I could have freed a thousand more if only they knew they were slaves.” Like Tubman, many black pastors are working to convince their congregations that they have been deceived by their new slave masters, the Democrat Party. They are working to educate and lead thousands to freedom.

The Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. said, “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.” What an inspiring dream! I don’t believe we will ever see that day until the slaves, both black and white, rise up and leave the government plantation. Then, and only then will we really have the world that Dr. King dreamt of.

Obama’s “RED” Is Showing!!!

If there was the slightest doubt about Obama’s Marxism, his “put down” of the American capitalist system last weekend should have swept it completely away.
What all America saw was the REAL Obama — the statist, the collectivist, the socialist, the Marxist Obama.

America owes EVERYTHING to GOVERNMENT. THAT is Obama’s belief and he has finally, finally, dropped his guard enough that even the dimmest bulb among us can see him for what he really is — IF — they are not voluntarily blind to reality.

There was some speculation over the past few days that the Obama team had made a decision to remove the teleprompter to allow Obama to be more “himself” and more easily connect to his audience. Well, I’d like to report — IT WORKED!!! The real Obama appeared. And he connected with me, at least. I understood EXACTLY what he was saying. By the time Obama walked off that stage his complexion had changed to a deep communist red.

I bet the teleprompter will reappear before the coming weekend!
The lines are now clearly drawn — more so than ever before — between Obama and Romney. The Socialist and the Capitalist — respectively.

The choice is now a no-brainer. Choose socialism and die a slow economic death, or choose capitalism and live and prosper.

So, now the ball is REALLY in the American electorate’s court. This is no longer a decision about who will lead America after January 20th, 2013, the decision is about much, much, more. It is now about what America wants to become.

KnowYour Enemy, Part IV

A Vast Satanic Conspiracy?

Why does it seem that most of the conservative talking heads are reluctant to call the evil doers by their real name? They opine and pontificate and deal in personalities but stop short of making the big connections. We love to point fingers and blame the Liberals and the socialists. Fault finding and playing the blame game is the national pass-time. It is easy to blame the Presidents, past and present for the abysmal mess our country is in. We accuse the Democrats or the Republicans and demonize elected officials with gleeful abandon.

We are totally correct when we accuse the New World Order for wrecking our economy and trashing our country. When we demand that something be done to protect us from the Islamo Fascists Fanatics that repeatedly declare war on us and vow to destroy our country, we are more than justified. And when our government does nothing or worse, tears down some of the safe guards that have been protecting us, not only are we within our rights, but we have an obligation to shout our protests from the roof tops.

Evil forces are working to control the world. Al-Qaida and Hamas wants to blow us up. Our current administration is feeding the last of the bill of rights into the shredder and the Globalists are in the final stages of setting up a One World Government. Our so-called Commander in Chief is running around the world, kowtowing to every despot in sight. Out of the combined Senate, The House of Representatives and the Supreme Court there is not a hand full of individuals that we can point to and truly say, ” They have the best interests of our country at heart”. They are the new aristocracy and are above the law. Our entire government is a seething cesspool of corruption. These parasites suck the life out of our nation and they enjoy the life style of rock stars and the benefits of royalty, for life.

I’ll probably get some flak from the true believers, the rank and file party members. These poor unfortunate schmucks have swallowed the party line, hook and sinker. They are content to repeat the talking points of the day and spout party platitudes and are quick to blame the opposition for any problem.

I have spent the first four paragraphs pointing out problems and doing my share of complaining. But back on topic; Why do we stop short of calling evil doers by their rightful name? The entertaining and controversial Rev. James Manning, has no problem with calling evil by its real name when he says that our acting president is “the emissary of the devil”. Lucifer has been intent on ruling and enslaving the world for thousands of years. The New World Order movement is not a recent phenomenon. Whether it is the Globalists, The Jihadist, or the thugs on the corner, they all are intent in violating and usurping our God given liberty, the right of free choice. It matters little if they are true believers or simply dupes of the evil scheme, they are all in the service of Lucifer.

Evil people are in every level of government, from the disrespectful person behind the counter at the DMV or the Post office to the highest positions of authority. I am not saying that they all are evil, I am just saying that you will have no trouble in finding them, they are everywhere.

So how do we identify these evil doers? It is really quite easy. They don’t have reptilian features or horns. They are known by their behavior. Let’s define evil; “Any use of personal or political power that infringes on the free will of the individual”. In other words, the use of power to violate our liberty. When was the last time you dealt with an elected official and you were left with the feeling that they were truly a public servant, committed to helping you?

Remember the Golden Rule? Treating others the way we want to be treated, what’s the problem with that? And the ten commandments, why do the evil doers have so much trouble with them being openly displayed? It must be those pesky rules about not stealing, lying and adultery, not to mention the other commandments about respect and honor. Really, think about it, who has a problem with rules about not stealing and lying. Can I get an “AMEN”?

If the shoe were on the other foot, I know what the Hillary would say; “It is a vast Satanic conspiracy”.

Know Your Enemy: Part III

Re-Focus: A Grand Conspiracy

It seems that we humans are easily distracted by shiny things and loud noises. I am no exception to this idea. I have been caught-up in the maelstrom of the political season. I will attempt to re-focus and complete this series of comments.

While I feel it is important to try to stay informed I also believe the comment by Salvatore Dali, “politics are only the anecdotes of history.” Now, more than ever, we need to stay focused on the big picture.

I have believed for a long time that the United States was the last fire-wall holding back  venal and evil people who are attempting to seize control of the world. Every year they are closer to attaining their goal of having dominion over all the people of the planet. This is not a new or recent goal, they have been focused and committed to their evil plans for centuries. Now, for the first time, in the twenty-first century their goals seem to be attainable on a global scale. In the past they have been able to enslave whole civilizations to serve their ruling elite. But always in the past, their plans were thwarted by opposing forces, by natural calamity, or they have just mysteriously disappeared.

Throughout the history of the world, all of the major civilizations have had one thing in common, and that is their goal of enslaving the people to serve their masters, the ruling elite. The ancient Greeks, for all of their wonderful contributions to civilization, believed that no Greek Citizen should ever work and all physical labor was the job of slaves.

The once mighty Roman empire collapsed when they became weakened and their subjects revolted. The only thing left of the Egyptian culture are the spectacular monuments that were built by enslaved people.

There are modern examples of thoroughly evil people’s attempts to take over the world. Adolph Hitler and Joseph Stalin were two recent examples of power-mad statist despots, hell-bent on world domination in the name of social change and reform. They both were responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of forced laborers, (slaves) and destroying anyone they imagined might be in their way.

Today, we can look at the interlocking events that are in the daily news and easily see a pattern. Whether we look at the over-reach of the United Nations, the spread of Islam, the New World Order movement or the tentacles of international financial institutions their goals are basically the same; World domination. The total control of all the planet and its people and resources.

The cult of evil that is intent on dominating all the people of the world is not dominated by single personalities. It is not controlled by any one group of individuals but rather an insidious mind-set. They are not bound by any time-table or confined to any one generation. The vile despots and dictators that we love to vilify and blame, come and go but the cancer of rebellion grows and spreads. Their goals are long-term and far-reaching.

When evil appears to take a step back in defeat, it merely morphs into a new form, hiding behind some humanitarian cause. Behind the new mask of respectability it takes two steps forward. For an example, The League of Nations was considered to be a dismal failure so it was disbanded only to re-form into the bigger, stronger United Nations.

The  West breathed a sigh of relief when the Berlin Wall fell and it appeared that the Red Menace of communism had been defeated. Now we know that it just transformed itself into the Green Menace. Hiding behind the mask of respectability, they have changed their name from communists to “progressives” and “environmentalists”, hell-bent on “saving the planet” at the expense of humanity.

Spence Shows his True Colors

Has Dave Spence kicked Conservatives to the Curb?

(A letter to the editor:)

Whether it was a demonstration of his gross political ineptitude or just a blatant display of arrogance, Dave Spence’s recent actions have solidified first impressions for some regarding his character and qualifications for the position of Governor.

A few months ago, the Lake Area Conservative Club board member, Jane Boyce attempted to contact the Spence Campaign, via email, to invite them to participate in a gubernatorial candidate forum at their fish fry and pot-luck event at Sunrise Beach on Tuesday, June 12. The invitation was clearly spelled out to Mr. Spence and Mr. Randles that they would receive the exact same pre-written questions from the audience and each would have the time to respond equally.   After no reply to the email attempts, the Spence organization was contacted by phone and they agreed to participate.

Over the week-end prior to the event the Spence campaign cancelled their appearance, citing a number of baseless and laughable excuses, claiming they didn’t know that Mr. Randles would also attend. They said they didn’t want to meet at a conservative event with an opposing Republican that may give the Democrats anything to use against them. Continue reading on the Bill Randles page.

Whatever Happened to “Consent of the Governed?”

Some in America would argue that the American President, Barack Hussein Obama, is harkening back to the time when the vast majority of the governed were ignorant serfs, or slaves, held in a form of bondage by a king, and a faith, that informed them that the king’s right to rule was approved by God and theirs was but to obey unquestionably. In those days, kings ruled by a right believed given them by God. It was referred to as “the divine right of kings.”

When America was founded, the Founding fathers wrote in the Declaration of Independence : “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness. — That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed, … ” That was the exact moment that Americans thumbed their noses at the King of England and made clear that America did not have — and never would have — a king.

KNOW YOUR ENEMY, Part II

This morning while I ran my traps, I found this most encouraging report of the Wisconsin victory by Jeff Jacoby. What first caught my attention was the details of the positive effect that the Wisconsin Win was having, not only in the state but, on the nation.

It is worth noting that almost a week after the people of Wisconsin rejected the Unions demands, this is still a front page story, at least in the alternative stream media.             (The editor.)

 

The End Nears for a 50-Year Mistake

In retrospect, there were two conspicuous giveaways that Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker was headed for victory in last week’s recall election.

One was that the Democrats’ campaign against him wound up focusing on just about everything but Walker’s law limiting collective bargaining rights for government workers. Sixteen months ago, the Capitol building in Madison was besieged by rioting protesters hell-bent on blocking the changes by any means necessary. Union members and their supporters, incandescent with rage, likened Walker to Adolf Hitler and cheered as Democratic lawmakers fled the state in a bid to force the legislature to a standstill. Once the bill passed, unions and Democrats vowed revenge, and amassed a million signatures on recall petitions.

But the more voters saw of the law’s effects, the more they liked it. Dozens of school districts reported millions in savings, most without resorting to layoffs. Property taxes fell. A $3.6 billion state budget deficit turned into a $154 million projected surplus. Walker’s measures proved a tonic for the economy, and support for restoring the status quo ante faded — even among Wisconsin Democrats. Long before Election Day, Democratic challenger Tom Barrett had all but dropped the issue of public-sector collective bargaining from his campaign to replace Walker.

The second harbinger was the plunge in public-employee union membership. The most important of Walker’s reforms, the change Big Labor had fought most bitterly, was ending the automatic withholding of union dues. That made union membership a matter of choice, not compulsion — and tens of thousands of government workers chose to toss their union cards. More than one-third of the American Federation of Teachers Wisconsin membership quit, reported The Wall Street Journal. At the American Federation of State, County, and Municipal Employees, one of the state’s largest unions, the hemorrhaging was worse: AFSCME’s Wisconsin rolls shrank by more than 34,000 over the past year, a 55 percent nose-dive.

Did government workers tear up their union cards solely because the union had lost its right to bargain collectively on their behalf? That’s doubtful: Even under the new law, unions still negotiate over salaries. More likely, public-sector employees ditched their unions for the same reasons so many employees in the private sector — which is now less than 7 percent unionized — have done so. Many never wanted to join a union in the first place. Others were repelled by the authoritarian, belligerent, and left-wing political culture that entrenched unionism so often embodies.

Even before the votes in Wisconsin were cast, observed Michael Barone last week, Democrats and public-employee unions “had already lost the battle of ideas over the issue that sparked the recall.” Their tantrums and slanders didn’t just fail to intimidate Walker and Wisconsin lawmakers from reining in public-sector collective bargaining. They also gave the public a good hard look at what government unionism is apt to descend to. The past 16 months amounted to an extended seminar on the danger of combining collective bargaining with government jobs. Voters watched — and learned.

There was a time when pro-labor political leaders like Franklin D. Roosevelt and Fiorello LaGuardia regarded it as obvious that collective bargaining was incompatible with public employment. Even the legendary AFL-CIO leader George Meany once took it for granted that there could be no “right” to bargain collectively with the government.

When unions bargain with management in the private sector, both sides are contending for a share of the private profits that labor helps produce — and both sides are constrained by the pressures of market discipline. Managers can’t ignore the company’s bottom line. Unions know that if they demand too much they may cost the company its competitive edge.

But when labor and management bargain in the public sector, they are divvying up public funds, not private profits. Government bureaucrats don’t have to worry about losing business to their competitors; state agencies can’t relocate to another part of the country. There is little incentive to hold down wages and benefits, since the taxpayers who will be picking up the tab have no seat at the table. On the other hand, government managers have a powerful motivation to yield to government unions: Union members vote, and their votes can be deployed to reward politicians who give them what they want — or punish those who don’t.

In 1959, when Wisconsin became the first state to enact a public-sector collective-bargaining law, it wasn’t widely understood what the distorted incentives of government unionism would lead to. Five decades later, the wreckage is all around us. The privileges that come with government work — hefty automatic pay raises, Cadillac pension plans, iron-clad job security, ultra-deluxe health insurance — have in many cases grown outlandish and staggeringly unaffordable. What Keith Geiger, the former head of the National Education Association, once referred to as “our sledgehammer, the collective bargaining process,” has wreaked havoc on state and municipal budgets nationwide.

Now, at long last, the pendulum has reversed. The 50-year mistake of public-sector unions is being corrected. Walker’s victory is a heartening reminder that in a democracy, even the most entrenched bad ideas can sometimes be unentrenched. On, Wisconsin!

KNOW YOUR ENEMY

Walt Kelly, the great cartoonist and creator of the iconic philosopher, Pogo, the possum, summed up our national dilemma in just nine words. “We have met the enemy and he is us.”

I have written and spoken often about how ignorance and apathy is destroying our Republic more than any totalitarian ideology. This is not just an idle speculation on my part. It is supported by the fact that there are an estimated 60 million evangelical Christians in the United States and on any given election day about 30 million choose to sit on their hands. ( I don’t actually know what they are doing with their hands. I just know that they are not at the polls.)

Upon leaving Constitution Hall after the three-month ordeal of creating our Constitution, a lady approached Benjamin Franklin and asked; “Dr. Franklin, What kind of government have you given us?”

“A Constitutional Republic, Madam, if you can keep it” was his reply.

There are numerous quotes we could cite about how “Eternal vigilance being the price of Liberty”. Washington, Sam Adams, Jefferson, John Adams, Madison, and Patrick Henry all wrote extensively and eloquently on this topic.

I don’t know when we the people first became comfortably complacent and, like the boiled frog, ignored the rising threat to our very life and liberty. But I do know that there has been a slow and gradual drift toward a totalitarian government since the early 60′s. Bit by bit, step by step, the socialist agenda has been incrementally put in place, and we the people did nothing but complain and wring our hands, or worse, buried our head in the TV  or some other distraction and let someone else tell us what to think.

The following list of Communist Goals that was entered into the Congressional record by Albert Herlong, Jr. ( a Floridian who served in Congress from 1049 – 69) in 1963.

Take the time to scan down through the list and check off all Communist Goals that you believe have been accomplished:

  1. US acceptance of coexistence as the only alternative to atomic war.
  2. US willingness to capitulate in preference to engaging in atomic war.
  3. Develop the illusion that total disarmament by the US would be a demonstration of “moral strength”.
  4. Permit free trade between all nations regardless of Communist affiliation and regardless of whether or not items could be used for war.
  5. Extension of long-term loans to Russia and Soviet Satellites.
  6. Provide American aid to all nations regardless of Communist domination.
  7. Grant recognition of Red China, and admission of Red China to the UN.
  8. Set up East and West Germany as separate states in spite of Khrushchev’s promise in 1955 to settle the Germany question by free elections under supervision of the UN.
  9. Prolong the conference to ban atomic tests because the US has agreed to suspend tests as long as negotiations are in progress.

10. Allow all Soviet Satellites individual representation in the UN.

11. Promote the UN as the only hope for mankind. If its charter is rewritten, demand that it be set up as a one world government with its own independent armed forces. (Some Communist leaders believe the world can be taken over as easily by the UN as by Moscow. Sometimes these two centers compete with each other as they are now doing in the Congo.)

12.   Resist any attempt to outlaw the Communist Party.

13. Do away with loyalty oaths.

14. Continue giving Russia access to the US Patent Office.

15. Capture one or both of the political parties in the US.

16. Use technical decisions of the courts to weaken basic American institutions, by claiming their activities violate civil rights.

17. Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for Socialism, and current Communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teacher associations. Put the party line in text books.

18. Gain control of all student newspapers.

19. Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations which are under Communist attack.

20. Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.

21. Gain control of key positions in radio, TV & motion pictures.

22. Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings”, and substitute shapeless, awkward, and meaningless forms.

23. Control art critics and directors of art museums. Our plan is to promote ugliness, repulsive, meaningless art”.

24. Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship”  and a violation of free speech and free press.

25. Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography, and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.

26. Present homosexuality, degeneracy, and promiscuity as “normal, natural, and healthy”.

27. Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch”.

28. Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state”.

29. Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old-fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations or a worldwide basis.

30. Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man”.

31. Belittle all forms of American culture and discourage the teaching of American history on the ground that it was only a minor part of “the big picture”. Give more emphasis to Russian history since the Communists took over.

32. Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture – education, social agencies. welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc.

33. Eliminate all laws or procedures, which interfere with the operation of the Communist apparatus.

34. Eliminate the House Committee on Un-American Activities.

35. Discredit and gain control of more unions.

36. Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.

37. Infiltrate and gain control of big business

38. Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.

39. Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose Communist goals.

40. Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.

41. Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudice, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.

42. Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a “united force” to solve economic, political, or social problems.

43. Overthrow all colonial governments before native populations are ready for self-government.

44. Internationalize the Panama Canal.

45.Repeal the Connelly Reservation so the US cannot prevent the World Court from seizing jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over domestic problems. Give the World Court jurisdiction over nations and individuals alike.

A casual review of this list of goals illustrates our gradual slide down the “slippery-slope” toward tyranny. Many Americans have been shaken awake following the series of events following the 2008 election.  Some of us have finally gotten out of our recliner and are involved in the grass-roots liberty movement. I firmly believe that the solutions to the dangers facing our Republic are not political, but are spiritual. We must first change who we are as citizens before we can restore America to its once greatness.

Douglas MacArthur warned us, “History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.”

Finally, looking to the ultimate source of wisdom Proverbs 14:34 tells us, “Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin is a reproach to any people.”

“So help me God”

Although there are some minor variations of the OATH that’s taken by all military, police and those holding public office, the meanings are all the same.  They all have raised their hand or place it on a Bible, and swore to the current oath which was enacted in 1884:

“I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will support and defend the Constitution of the United States against all enemies, foreign and domestic; that I will bear true faith and allegiance to the same; that I take this obligation freely, without any mental reservation or purpose of evasion; and that I will well and faithfully discharge the duties of the office on which I am about to enter: So help me God.”

There was a time, not too long ago, that when an individual swore an oath before God and  before witnesses that the swearing to such an oath had profound significance and often carried severe consequences when disregarded.

The Third Commandment clearly states, Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.” I believe this is true. I believe that the third commandment holds as much value and importance as thou shalt not seal, or kill or bear false witness.

I believe that when we swear “So help me God”, are going to be held accountable by our Creator. I believe our elected leaders should be held accountable by the same standards.

When I raised my right hand and swore to keep this promise, there was no expiration date or specified time limit on it. Our Republic is now under attack by the enemies of Liberty, both “foreign and domestic”. I believe that it is still my duty to support and defend the Constitution to the best of my ability, So help me God.

IGNORANCE AND APATHY

Ignorance and apathy will destroy our Republic just as swift and sure as any totalitarian ideology . Today, we are overwhelmed by both.

At about the time our original 13 states adopted their new constitution, in the year 1787, Alexander Tyler (a Scottish history professor at The University of Edinborough) had this to say about “The Fall of The Athenian Republic” some 2,000 years prior:

“A democracy is always temporary in nature; it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government. A democracy will continue to exist up until the time that voters discover that they can vote themselves generous gifts from the public treasury. From that moment on, the majority always votes for the candidates who promise the most benefits from the public treasury, with the result that every democracy will finally collapse due to lose fiscal policy, which is always followed by a dictatorship.”

The average age of the world’s greatest civilizations from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years. During those 200 years, these nations always progressed through the following sequence:

  • From bondage to spiritual faith;
  • From spiritual faith to great courage;
  • From courage to liberty;
  • From liberty to abundance;
  • From abundance to complacency;
  • From complacency to apathy;
  • From apathy to dependence;
  • From dependence back into bondage.

I don’t like Democracy. I have never thought democracy was a good idea because of the inherent dangers. They are:

  • Glorification of mediocrity
  • Choice of base and ignorant rulers.
  • Danger of universal suffrage in the hands of uneducated and indolent majorities.
  •  Slavery to public opinion; the majority is not always right.
  • Failure to recognize the basic facts of social evolution.

Our founders clearly understood these principles and worked toward building an educated and involved electorate.

John Adams said, “Democracy will soon degenerate into an anarchy, such an anarchy that every man will do what is right in his own eyes and no man’s life or property or reputation or liberty will be secure, and every one of these will soon mould itself into a system of subordination of all the moral virtues and intellectual abilities, all the powers of wealth, beauty, wit and science, to the wanton pleasures, the capricious will, and the execrable cruelty of one or a very few.”

And then there’s this from Karl Marx, “Democracy is a form of government that cannot long survive, for as soon as the people learn that they have a voice in the fiscal policies of the government, they will move to vote for themselves all the money in the treasury, and bankrupt the nation.”

And American writer, L. Neil Smith penned this, “No one’s ever been able to show me any difference between democracy and brute force. It’s just a majority ganging up on a minority with the minority giving in to avoid getting massacred”.

I believe that one of the main reasons our country is in the sad sorry state that it is in today is because of a state run education system that is committed to the “Dumbing Down” of America. We the People have kicked back in our recliners for the last 50 years with a toxic beverage in one hand and the remote in the other and accepted the propaganda we were fed on a daily basis.

Helen Keller said; “Science may have found a cure for most evils; but it has found no remedy for the worst of them all – the apathy of human beings.”

But meanwhile, back at the poles. I ain’t sayin’ people shouldn’t be allowed to vote, I’m just sayin’ ignorant people shouldn’t be allowed to vote, period!

I know, I’m way ahead of you here. You were fixin’ to say; “Who are you to decide who is ignorant?” Well perhaps we could use a test just like they do in school to decide if someone understands the material or not. Not a very original idea, I’ll admit, but it has worked well when administered properly.

For example, No one should be allowed within 100 feet of a poll who has not passed the same 100 question test that the Immigration and Naturalization Service gives to immigrants who want to become citizens of the United States. Ask yourself, “Should an immigrant from a third world country know more about American history and our system of government than the average voting  citizen?”

IN SHORT, NO PASSING GRADE ON THE TEST, NO VOTE, NO EXCEPTIONS, NO EXCUSES.

We salute the flag proudly proclaim; “And to the Republic, for which it stands, One nation under God, With Liberty and Justice for all”, let us be mindful of our need to restore the Republic.

People of good will are working tirelessly to make the world a better place but we have been behind the curve for far too long. Our once proud ship of state is sinking in a cesspool of corruption. Both political parties are only shells of what they were just a few decades ago. Unless we take some action, our grand children will never see the light of a debt free day.

Professor Joseph Olson of Hamline University School of Law in St. Paul , Minnesota , points out some interesting facts concerning November’s Presidential election:

Number of States won by: Obama: 19 McCain: 29

Square miles of land won by: Obama: 580,000 / McCain: 2,427,000

Population of counties won by: Obama: 127 million/McCain: 143 million

Murder rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:

Obama: 13.2/ McCain: 2.1

Professor Olson adds: “In aggregate, the map of the territory McCain won  was mostly the land owned by the taxpaying citizens of the country.

Obama territory mostly encompassed those citizens living in low income government subsidized housing and living off various forms of government welfare…”

Olson believes the United States is now somewhere between the “complacency and apathy” phase of Professor Tyler’s definition of democracy, with some forty percent of the nation’s population already having reached the “governmental dependency” phase. If Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called “undocumented aliens” – and they vote – then we can say goodbye to the U.S.A. in fewer than five years.

He made this proclamation THREE YEARS AGO.

The farce of the two-party system.

If you have been voting like your grandparents, then this is for you. How often have we voted for a candidate just because of the name at the top of the ballot only to be sadly disappointed in their performance in office? Have you ever noticed that no matter which party is in power, our government stays fundamentally the same. Our nation is going down the same failed path of much of Europe and our leaders continue to spend money we don’t have. Our great-grand children will never see a debt free day.

 

The two Party system has become a farce. Neither party remotely resembles the party of a few decades ago. Both parties have been hijacked by powerful forces that seek power and control.

The GOP, while professing to uphold the Republic, is committed to mercantilism, or more bluntly, the stiffening of free trade by picking winners and losers and the Democrat party, behind a mask of progressivism is the sharp reality of Marxist socialism. Both ideologies are geared to gaining more political power and leaving We the People with less and less liberty to live our lives as we so choose.

A great working definition for insanity is to keep doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. We need to ask ourselves a few questions; “Would I really blindly vote for a yellow dog just because Grandpa would?”

In the next election, the stakes for our state and for our nation are higher than ever before. It will be critically important that we vote intelligently. We need to put family political history aside and do our own homework and find out what principles each candidates values.

It should be quite simple, do they represent more or less regulations and taxes? Do they stand firm on principles and support  conservative issues? Will they head us down the road to slavery or help to restore the Liberty that our grandfathers fought and died for?

It is vitally important that we carefully select candidates that support conservative issues.

TELL ME WHAT YOU LOVE

The first settlers to America and the founders of our Republic believed strongly in liberty and the freedom to choose how we live our lives. Our founders wrote extensively on what they valued and laid the foundation on which our rules of law were made. They clearly understood the commandments and believed strongly in the Golden rule.

As patriots in 2012, we too love Liberty and the freedom to choose how we live our lives. We are profoundly grateful to “have been endowed by our Creator with certain unalienable Rights and among these are the right to Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.” (Thomas Jefferson, The Declaration of Independence)

For years now I have been on my soap box shouting that people need to stop talking about what we hate and spend more time celebrating the things that we love. This would seem like a terribly obvious conclusion, hate repels while love attracts. “You can catch more flies with honey that you can with vinegar,” and  “When you find yourself in a hole, stop digging.”

I am not saying we should ignore the bad and the evil, quite the contrary. But if we don’t contrast the negative with the positive, then I feel we only feed into the problem, and it will eventually drag us down too. When we rant and rail against something, we only give evil free air time, and it  seldom changes anyone’s thinking and it almost never attracts anyone to our point of view.

As Patriots and Liberty Loving Conservatives, we have been ridiculed and called a lot of hateful names by the Progressive Main Stream Media. Racists and haters seem to top the list.

Friends, we are dangerously close to losing our great Republic and the principles that our forefathers fought and died to defend. Like Paul Revere and the Minute men, let’s spread the word and stand tall for our love of liberty. Let’s spread the word for a slate of Constitutional Conservative candidates.

We may not be able to tell someone how to vote, but we can state with pride and love, “Here is my list of candidates, and I support them because they are Constitutional Conservatives and will uphold the principles of liberty.”
